The Chosen One! ;o)

Every morning when it's time to get up I come downstairs and flick the kettle on, having a cuppa first thing seems to set the day up.   While the kettle is boiling I usually do a quick roundup of the rooms grabbing any late night dishes, picking up and fluffing the pillows, opening the curtains and of course, the windows - nothing like the freshness of a new day! 

Next task is poking my head out the back door "is it a promising look to the day" - good, make the coffee and sit out on the patio and absorb the waking of this new day - it IS the best time of the day, the only time when I truly believe you can think, make plans and set yourself up for what lies ahead - the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the air is full of expectancy......and the neighbours kids are screaming, again!!! WHAT! WAIT! that's not supposed to happen, peace shattered......time to come indoors and put plans into action.

Right: check emails; quick hop on the blog; update website/folksy; fall into Facebook and.......that's where it all stops! There's no housework, creating, blog-hopping, promoting done - Facebook seems to have this almighty grip on me once I'm there.....bizarre!

Anyway, last week, when checking my emails I opened one from Lynwoodcrafts informing me that she has a "guest blogger" doing write-ups on various gemstones and the next one would be on Onyx - "would I mind if she included one of my Onyx pieces in this write-up"? OMG! would I mind! Ha! Uh - hello! Of course I wouldn't mind!  :o)

I can't believe someone would want to use one of my pieces for promoting gemstones - HOW EXCITING!

PIF, PIF, PIF!

Christals Creations has announced she is taking part in a PIF {Pay It Forward}.  This concept is like the movie - Pay It Forward - with Kevin Spacey and Haley Joel Osment.   PIF is where acts of kindness are done without expecting anything in return, just passing it on, hoping that the recipients will do the same and pay it forward, like a never ending chain of kindness.  I was lucky enough to be one of the first three to respond and have therefore also taken up the challenge of the PIF! :o)

In my PIF I will make and send a gift to  the first 3 followers who leave a comment to this post, requesting to join this exchange, and promising to pay it forward to 3 other people, etc.... I don't know what my 3 gifts will be, but I can promise I will send them within the next 365 days! :op~

homage to the montage

*this post is photo heavy*

so many things to share and yet no "oomph" to share it! pah! need a kick up the b-hind.....so, instead I will pay homage to the montage........

so, first things first, I sold my first piece, yaaay! :oD

have also decided that I should include Costume jewellery in my hello gorgeous range, here are my first creations

so much has happened over the last two weeks, from new purchases

to trophy collecting at the Cardiff City ground with Ross McCormack

to City Hall

finishing their season by winning the Cogan Tournament

(no photos of this achievement!)

I celebrated {another} birthday with flowers from the hubby

and cake from the parents!

which led me to my favourite saying, "I must start to eat more healthily!"

and so the quest began

was going really well up until week 5, when I hit a glich, which stayed with me until weeks 6 and 7!  Felt really good and now not so!  SO the quest begins all over again and this time I have added another challenge to it, to drink 1.5ltr's of water per day, I'm on day two......

Took a few trips out with the hubby over the Bank Holiday weekend, went to Cardiff Bay 3 days in a row, I know, THREE!.....first day we sat by the yatchts in the rain {my idea of bliss} and then took a walk around the Global World Market - stupidly forgot to take my camera, d'oh! It was raining so just imagine everything wet! lol!

Second day was a lot more sunnier and warmer, well hotter in fact, phew! Went over the other side of the bay and sat on the bank watching the powerboats zoom around the bay {AGAIN forgot the blinkin' camera!}, decided we would book this http://www.boattripscardiff.co.uk/about.php for eldest son's 18th birthday and then afterwards a visit to Nando's - should be SO much fun!

Third day got up really early, parked up at the Bay and popped into Cadwallader's

for hot chocolate

some chose ice cream, bubblegum!

whilst watching raindrops

deciding to brave the elements, we took a wonder around the Bay

and finally the secret entrance to Torchwood

have a few more things to share with you but for now I will let you catch your breath!

I do, however, want to leave you with a pic of my new "best" friend
