Code, code and more code...

I feel like the decipher queen!!!!!! Who said Enigma!

I have been in it all day, yes ALL DAY, don't know what it means, don't know what it does....but I can tell ya when it works it's frickin' FANTASTIC!!!! HTML code that is......

I wasn't completely happy with the new look blog but I went with it because I adore the pin-up girls.....but those bloody squares were doing my head in.....! I wanted the main column to be just that, not lots of squares you had to click to get deeper into the gossip! Also the girls were a bit saucy for what I wanted but hey - beggars can't be choosers...can they?  Even though they were lush!

Today however I decided that as I have "launched" my jewellery  into cyberspace, I would try and attempt making my blog look {almost} identical and, I have to say I think I did pretty good! :o)

I wanted to keep the three columns but after code manipulation when I saved the template the two sidebars were almost crashing  into each other and no matter what I tried they wouldn't budge - well the content did but not the headings!  So, after what seemed like hours, I decided that I would strip the blog right back to the basics and build up again - I will add a third column someday, but not just yet!  There are still some tweaks to be made but for now I am VERY proud of myself for becoming the layman's Queen of Code - the downside, my brain is still like a slice of swiss cheese - so ANY code I have grasped has just flown straight through!!

Would love your comments, criticisms, advice, direction, glass of wine (oops!), oh! and some nachos wouldn't go amiss! ;o)

Well, it's finally here! Wahoo!

I started dabbling in making jewellery last year (2009) and loved playing so much that decided I would take myself in a new direction - and so hello gorgeous was bourne! ;o)

Designs are created with the finest components available - sterling silver, thai silver, semi-precious stones, lampwork beads and swarovski crystals.  I hope to build my collection over the next few months, so please pop by and check out the new additions.  There will also be previews on my blog for inspiration.

Time for a Wish List...

I'm not talking about the "healthy life, financial security and world peace" kind of wish list...oh no....I'm talking about the selfish materialistic kind, the one that we NEVER get to make or even fulfill 'cause we ALWAYS put everything else first -  kids, family, charity.......world peace!     So I am taking this moment to create my own selfish, materialistic wish list. :o)) I am going to place it on my sidebar (and no doubt add to it throughout the year) for you to puruse at your leisure, you can gloat ('cause you already have it!), turn green ('cause you've always wanted it!) or just plain old fall in love with it!  It's your choice really...oh! and if you feel the need to create a "selfish, materialistic wish list" yourself - then blinkin' well do it! ;o)

It will be interesting to see "how many" of these wishes I fulfill this year! :o)

AWESOME!!!!

This was a satellite picture of Britain this week.....our very own Day After Tomorrow moment!  I have NEVER seen Britain looking like this...okay we've had snow before but never across the WHOLE of Britain!  It is truly AWESOME to see it like this! I'm sure this will be one of those iconic pictures :o)

Besides the trecherous conditions it leaves us with and the thought of elderly neighbours being stranded in their homes it is fantastic to see kids having SO MUCH fun and any thoughts of disruptive/destructive behaviour seem to have blown in the cold chilly wind.  It's almost like a release on life...like you HAVE to go out and have fun! I LIKE it and want more of it! Not the snow but the freedom for kids to behave without the pressure of peerdom!

As for the snow, well.....I'm not sure I want that to go 'cause it looks SO beautiful and picturesque but I definitely would like the cold to leave us....so, please lovely sunshine, start warming up our days and continue to keep 2010 a positive place to be!

So, firstly I would like to welcome you to my new home ;o) I hope you will pull up a chair and grab a coffee and visit often, I promise I will chat, listen, laugh, share, hug and, if pushed dance with you! ;op

The reason for the change, well I made a pact with myself that 2010 was gonna be the year that things changed.

The last three years have been controlled by a very dark cloud of depression, but am now feeling strong enough to control it and take back my life.  To this end I am starting 2010 med free, feeling positive and have a new career venture planned.

I hope you like what you see in my new home and that you are inspired in some small way.
