A bit of this...a bit of that!

Just a couple of things to post about tonight, we have FINALLY got the boiler fixed - yaaay! It wasn't a quick fix as I was hoping for which is typical, as I think it must have been the coldest it's been since Christmas, so we all ended up huddled on the sofas with the fire on and snuggled under duvets, fabulous until we had to move for a cuppa or pop to the loo! :oO  We are nice and toasty now tho' plus an added bonus for us is we have hot water again....first time in over a year!  Boilers are expensive to fix ya know!  It's amazing how excited you can get just by turning on the hot water tap! Oh! and to be able to fill a bath! Bliss!!!

So, Tracy over at Cinnamon Jewellery Bead and Wirework Designs has been gorgeous enough to give me a blog award :o) I'd LOVE you to pop over and visit her as she has the most beautiful jewellery - it has such a contemporary feel to it - there's so much to read on her blog too so I would suggest you make it a Diet Coke break!

And last, but not least, I have been tweaking the blog again, you'll know from an earlier post that I want 3 columns but everytime I created it the two sidebars would clash - as I want them both on the right hand side - grrr!  So tried again, same thing happened, but strangely nothing clashes when I have it either side of the main post!! Go figure!  So this is it, this is how it will look - until the itch gets too much and I have to scratch it...again!  Look out for more additions over the next week......

Delicate little wrist pleaser.....

I love having favourites and am ALWAYS finding items as my next favourite thing to own, but I have to say that this little creation is actually my FAVOURITE - of the moment!!!  It's made up of heated Agate rondelles in a gorgeous array of reds and sands and accented with 2mm Sterling Silver round beads, finished off with a fancy toggle clasp.

I love the smooth feel of this bracelet, it's SO tactile and shiny too! A delicate little wrist pleaser to wear everyday!

Overall length is 8", including clasp.

Stephanie Robin sure is one talented lady!  I truly wish I had the opportunity of having my boys photographed like this when they were babies.....at 18, 16 and 14 I think my chance has gone, and NO I'm not gonna have another just for the opportunity....but it is tempting! ;o)

I mean, WHO has spaghetti????

Today, we have this, out of the blue, one minute it was raining the next, saucer-like snowflakes falling from the sky, getting heavier and heavier....I mean, WHERE did it come from? We've had glorious sunshine for the last few days (apart from yesterday) almost leading you into hope that Spring really IS just around the corner, even the crocusses and snowdrops have raised their beautiful little heads....like I said HOPE!

So, it goes without saying that "something" had to happen, 'cause something ALWAYS happens before you're allowed to enjoy whatever event is on the horizon.....well my "something" happened last night and today the only thing that's keeping the icicles from forming WITHIN the house is this little beauty.... :o)  We have a man, HOPEFULLY, calling this afternoon to fix the boiler, I say hopefully and am praying "yes he can" instead of the unthinkable "will have to order the part, which will take about a week" :oO nooooooo! By that time the icicles that HAVE formed in other parts of the house will be beauty attractions where people from ALL OVER THE WORLD will be queuing to view!

To while away the time and to circulate some warmth within our hearts, and quite frankly within the kitchen, it has to be bacon and eggs....but wait, there's NO BEANS!!! Oh well! It will just have to be spaghetti, SPAGHETTI, I mean, WHO has spaghetti?????

To be, or not to be.......

a Folksy seller, that is the question?

As you know I have JUST ventured into the selling business, I have created a website to "air" my wares but am not sure if this truly is the {first} way to go.....should I be a Folksy seller? 

There are SO many gorgeous "places" to visit at Folksy and EVERYTIME I stop by I am inspired and get a new lease of energy, which truth be told doesn't lead me anywhere as I am afraid to take that step forward :o?

What are the pros and cons of being a Folksy seller?  Will I blossom, or wither and die??? Will I be just another statistic? Am I good enough? 

Questions, questions - in the words of a lyrical Spandau Ballet - I have some, as you can see but what I'd like to know is what are YOUR thoughts on Folksy?

Right! A decision has been made.....

Whilst I LOVED getting into card-making in 2007 my soul wasn't 100% in it and since I haven't actually made any kind of card since Christmas 2008 I have made a decision to say goodbye to my crafty purchases.  I mean what is the point of holding onto them if all they are doing is sitting in the corner willing me to create with them - I would much rather re-home them to people who I KNOW will fulfill that wish!

So with that said, I am starting to sort through my stash and equipment, most of which I bought and have not used (well, except to test it!) I am one of those people who just has to go and buy, place it on display and then NEVER use it - hell I even had a CD collection 6 months BEFORE I even had a CD player!

Cardstock, paperstock, stamps, inkpads, pens, watercolour pencils, adhesive stickers/dots, brads, punches, stickers, lightbox, glue gun, heat gun, ribbon and even my Big Shot (never used!) - I could go on and on.......some of these items will be bundled for giveaways and some will be bundled for sale.

It will be sad to see everything go (and no doubt as soon as it's gone I will want to make a card!) but as I am focussed on creating gorgeous jewellery for you lovely people out there it has to be done!
